Tubeless

Today we rode from Canon Lodge in Fish River Canyon in Namibia to Lambert´s Bay in South Africa, 650kms at summer temperatures of 38 degrees, felt like a Northern summer’s day.

This morning we went to see the real canyon, a daunting natural spectacle. The area is flat and about 1200 metres above sea level and in the middle of it all is this gigantic hole, dug out by water.

I have always learned that tubeless is best. If you have a flat, you can always fit a tube and continue. Stefan had his second flat this trip, and when he inspected the tyre before fitting the tube, this is what it looked like. You may wonder where he is supposed to put the tube. And you can see from his gesture how many shares he owns in the wheel.
In the afternoon we went towards the coast again after some very nice roads, a great motorcycling experience. This is Ian underway.

When we finally reached Lambert’s Bay, the sun set. We have been riding practically all day.
