Tanganyika Oil

430 km the team moved today, between Suez and Safaga, with temperatures between 14 and 20 degrees and sunshine.
I cried until I had a visit to an oil field with Tanganyika Oil, that we passed on our way down south. Lukas and Ian have probably seen enough oil fields so that they are far down on their list of priorities when they are on holiday. To me it was a high point to see proper oil excavation for real.

The venue was the Hana field and no less than Executive Vice President Mamdouh Nagati was our guide.
Myself, like many others, have a new interest in stocks and shares. But I have the same problem as a Swedish comedian, that I only believe what I can see. If you buy shares these days, you can’t even hold them in your hand. The closest are what you see on a computer screen. How do you see this? Would you bet all your savings on whether something exists or not, like soothsayers, witchcraft, witches or why not life after death? Isn’t it a bit dubious to bet all your money on something you can’t see? I have bought forest but that seems more hands-on and natural. It is there to be viewed every day. That’s why I had a kick out of seeing an oil field for real.

They also drilled after more oil with this rig.

Investment in one simple drill hole from start to production is estimated to close to one million dollars, senseless sums. I have no problem with this figures, if there is oil 1500 metres below. But I wouldn’t want to be the one who decided on the place. What if my calculations according to current information were wrong and I draw a blank?
Well, now I have been there and know that Tanganyika Oil exists, so maybe it’s time to take a position as the saying goes. If I do, it will have to be a proper sum, draining the children’s allowance, Adrian’s and Maja’s, maybe even buy a dozen shares!!! It must be a safe bet, now that I know they exist.
