At last!
Finally, it was time to take off. As usual, my personal kit will be packed at the very last minute. After a couple of kilometres I realised that my shaving kit and the mirror compass were left home. When my beard starts getting tangled up in the front wheel, I will have to buy new shaving kit.
Winter is about to release its grip on the commune of Arvidsjaur, but when I passed the cap of JonSvensa at Storavan there was still snow.
I stopped already in Vilhelmina, where I was supposed to hold a speech at the Inlands industrial show. When I had finished, it was ten in the evening and I had the idea to continue a while. I called my cousin in Östersund and asked if I could stay the night with him and it was OK. When I finally arrived it was 1:20 in the morning and I was drenched from the rain. This is what I found inside the door. Talk about room service!
Ten kilometres from Dorotea I managed to stop with a dry tank, so now I know what the new 23-litre tank is capable of.
The day’s stage was 480 kilometres long.
